Maryam Bashi is a 24-year-old Iranian artist based in Trondheim, Norway, with a passion for digital arts and illustrations.
During her time in Iran, Maryam faced numerous challenges related to her identity and expression as a female artist. Despite these struggles, she persisted, creating art that represented her authentic self unapologetically. She drew inspiration from her experiences.
Maryam's upbringing in Bushehr, Iran, and her personal worldview and beliefs continue to influence her art, which offers a unique perspective on the world around us. She believes that her ability to see the world differently enables her to create thought-provoking and beautiful art that inspires others.
Currently, Maryam is working on co-writing a book with her younger brother that explores her life experiences in Iran, providing a compelling and honest look at her journey as a woman raised in Iran.
